Pop sensation, Wizkid is definitely a
baller, but if you doubt that, here's a
little proof; he shops out of
boredom!
The Nigerian popstar, though always
in the news in recent times,
especially since his exit from the
Empire Mates Entertainment (EME)
camp
, got tongues wagging again when
he posted a photo on his instagram
page with the caption, 'Boring
afternoon! So I went to the mall…#
SouthAfrica!'
The photo shows a hotel room full of
packs, cartons and bags of items
which the youngster got for himself
(and his girlfriend – but son't say we
told you) just because he was
feeling bored in South Africa.
But was Wizzy really bored? In the
same week, he shot two videos, one
for his 'Lagos to Soweto' single and
the other, Iyanya's 'Sexy Mama'. Also,
the 23-year old had hosted two night
club events, an MTV sponsored one
at Hush Night Club, Johannesburg
and another at Moloko Night club
in capital, Pretoria.
True to the title of the Chidinma
'Emi Ni Baller' remix, which he
featured on, Wizkid definitely balls
like it was going out of fashion.
Recently, while on a television
interview with OK! Nigeria TV in
London
, the 'Holla At Your Boy' singer was
asked to reveal the contents of his
pockets, only for him to pull out a
huge wad of cash and credit cards.
A few months ago, NET reported how
Wizkid spent millions of naira on two
Rolex wristwatches and chains
while also acquiring a choice
property in an upscale part of Lagos.
Perhaps because it is not uncommon
for celebs to engage in extravagant
and excessive spendings with little
or no investment in the future only
to find out later in life that money
wasn't spent wisely, some are
already taking panadol for a
headache the young singer does not
yet have 'Wizzy, you shop becos u r
bored? I hope u r investing ur money
wisely o', a fan on twitter tweeted
after Wizkid posted the photograph.
However, the Star boy who has been
very busy lately doing a lot of
features and even putting out a few
singles of his own, is almost ready to
put out his much anticipated
mixtape which will include special
guest appearances by UK rapper,
Tinnie Tempah and Mayback Music
Group (MMG) artiste, Wale
